What We Did for the Fourth of July

Okay, so I unfortunately don't have any pictures of what we did but our Fourth of July mostly consisted of swimming in the lake, eating lots of yummy food, kayaking, a family bike ride, and great fireworks!  (I have pictures of those!)

Happy Fourth of July!

 Happy 4th of July!
Let's take a moment to remember who made this land free.

"It is impossible to govern rightly without God and the Bible."
                                                                                          George Washington

"I believe in God and in his Wisdom and Benevolence: and I cannot conceive that such a being could make such a Species as the human merely to live and die on this earth.  If I did not believe a future State I should believe in no God.  This Universe, this all, would appear with all it's swelling Pomp, a boyish Fire Work."
John Adams, in a letter to Thomas Jefferson

"The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: It connected, in one indissoluble bond, the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity."
                                                                                           John Quincy Adams

"And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."
From President John F. Kennedy's Inaugural Address (Jan. 20, 1961)

I'll probably post pictures of what we are going to do tomorrow sometime.  Until then, enjoy your Independence Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!  Thank you for all of the things that you do for me!
"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."
Proverbs 31:29

I love you so much!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!
Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always perseveres.  Love never fails.  But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.  For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.

~1 Corinthians 13:4-10~
