2017?!

So this is when all the normal people are posting about their Christmas, 2016 in review, New Years, 2017 goals and resolutions—all that stuff.  Well, this is not going to be one of those posts.  I, as you might have already noticed, am not quite the definition of normal.  *smirk*
My Christmas and New Years were great—I do have some New Year's Resolutions but will probably loose them in February.  #thisisme

Spoiler Story Snippet

                      

Going??  Finally?!?!!!  Barek could not contain himself.  The moment he had dreamt about for years was finally here.

"Yes, sir." Barek nodded heartily.  He gathered his things and started for the door with Nyaz where the baker and Sir Randell were conversing.  They got out the door and suddenly it came to Barek that he was leaving; for good.  No more playtime with Rowena, no more fireside story times, no more bread leftovers for teaching Nyaz tricks.  He turned and looked back at the doorway.  The baker had Rowena at his side with his hand on her shoulder.  She had been crying, Barek thought.  And she looked like the world was ending.  He sighed and set down his travel bag.  He first went to the baker.  They shook hands and then the baker did something queer.  He pulled Barek closer to him so as to whisper in his ear.  "Here is something for later." He rasped as he plunged a scrap of parchment into Barek's hand.  "I'll miss you boy."  

"I'll miss you too."  Barek put the scrap of paper in a fold of his tunic for later, then knelt next to Rowena and looked into her face.  Barek wiped a tear from her cheek. "It's ok, Rena.  I'll come back.  I promise."  She seemed to be softening.  She suddenly threw her arms around Berek's neck.  

"I love you, Barek." She whispered as she squeezed him.  Barek was taken aback, but then put his arms around her also.  

"I love you too."  Barek had never really cried since he was a baby, but he found tears running down his face.  Then, he let go of Rowena, took a deep breath, and mounted the horse Sir Randell was holding for him.  Nyaz took his place on the right side of Barek's horse as Sir Randell mounted his horse.  

"And we're off!  Thank you all!" Sir Randell tipped his hand to the Baker, chirruped to his horse and it trotted down the road.  Barek spurred his horse also and let out a faint "goodbye".  He didn't dare look back.  The baker would be rubbing his hands together and getting back to work.  But Rowena, with her tear-stained face, would look after him until he was but a speck on the horizon.  

I can't believe I just did that 😳😱  You're welcome people, I hope you enjoyed it.

The Describe Tag

Ok.  I'll be honest.  I've been putting off this tag because I didn't really want to reveal everything there was to know about the characters in my stories.  I wanted them to kind of be a secret but, now that I haven't finished any of those stories, I'm going to spill. 😉 

Rules:
The basic idea of this tag is to take five characters of your creation, answer the six questions for each of your characters, then describe him/her/it in your own words in a paragraph, post the answers down below, and then tag 1 person per character.  

Ok, *deep breath* here we go!!

1. Shelby 

Is the character magical?  No.  

Is the character mean, loud, quiet, reserved, etc.?  Well, she's actually a lot like me, except way more introverted.

Is the character the main character of the book it's in?  Yes.  

What hair color (if applicable) does the character have?  Red.  Bright, electric, carrot-red hair.  

Is the character human or other?  Other.  (I'm not telling.....😉)

Good or bad?  Good.   

My description:  She's adventurous, sweet, bubbly, and insightful.  A beautiful, intelligent, and kind young lady.  Red hair, green eyes, beautiful smile.  Her room is always neat and clean, and everywhere she goes, she spreads the smile circle wider.  

2. Hal 

Is the character magical?  No.  

Is the character mean, loud, quiet, reserved, etc.?  He's........different.  Not really loud, definitely not mean, more mild-mannered.  

Is the character the main character of the book it's in?  No.  

What hair color (if applicable) does the character have?  Brown. (I think?) 

Is the character human or other?  Human. 

Good or bad?  Uhh.....is there like an in between??  'Cause that's what he is....😝  

My description:  A 6'4'' handsome, dark eyed hero.......*dreamy voice fades off in the distance*  Ok, getting serious now: Brown hair and eyes, tall, thin, adventurous, daring, dangerous, and clean-cut.   

3. Nyaz 

Is the character magical?  No.  

Is the character mean, loud, quiet, reserved, etc.?  Extroverted, loyal, fun, encouraging, loving, 

Is the character the main character of the book it's in?  One of them, yes 

What hair color (if applicable) does the character have?  Yellow/brown 

Is the character human or other?  Other.  (I'm not telling.....😉)

Good or bad?  GOOD!!!!!!

My description:  Amazing, beautiful, benevolent, kind, warm, joyful, chill, 

4. Juliet 

Is the character magical?  Yes. 

Is the character mean, loud, quiet, reserved, etc.?  Mean, loud, reserved, demanding, controlling, impressive

Is the character the main character of the book it's in?  No.  

What hair color (if applicable) does the character have?  Blonde. 

Is the character human or other?  Other. 

Good or bad?  Badish, goodish, not that bad........yeah.....

My description:  A beautiful, stunning, intelligent person with blue eyes that will dazzle anything that you look at afterwards.  She's an astounding leader and a fierce warrior.  

5. Adeline 

Is the character magical?  No.  

Is the character mean, loud, quiet, reserved, etc.?  Sweet, mild-mannered, brave hearted, quiet spirit. 

Is the character the main character of the book it's in?  Yes.

What hair color (if applicable) does the character have?  Black

Is the character human or other?  Human

Good or bad?  Good

My description:  A spunky, cheerful, brave, and loving young lady.  Courageous and kind, with a heart of gold.  Flowing dark hair, and beautiful dark eyes.  Tan skin with lips as red as blood.
