    1. Hi Savannah,
Yes, it was totally awesome! My Aunt and Uncle preformed a demonstration in the pre-show too!
I'm not sure which horse that was (there were literally like 10 horses in stalls, not to mention the ones that were competing!) but I think it was either the Fresian (not sure if that's spelled right), or the Percheron.

    2. It looks like a Fresian to me, since all Fresian's are black and it has a kinda wavy mane ... and all the Fresian's I've seen (only in pictures, sadly) have a wavy mane.
Did you have a favorite horse you saw at the show? I'm guessing you didn't, but I might as well ask :-). -Savannah

    3. Hmm, there was a really cool Percheron there, but I really liked the Fresian too! My Aunt has a Fresian at her horse ranch, but we don't get to see him very often. :-(. Fresian is me favorite breed. Do you have a favorite breed?

    4. My favorite breed tends to change quite often :-). Right now it's the Gypsy Vanner. They're really beautiful! Do you take horse-back riding lessons?

    5. I don't take regular horse-back riding lessons, but my Aunt sometimes gives me a lesson when we visit the ranch. The last time I had a lesson was on my birthday. I was riding their barn managers horse and I'm telling you, he was the normal size for a horse, but coming from a shetland pony, he was pretty big. :-) I got to trot with him while the barn manager held the halter. It was very fun!

    6. You've ridden a shetland pony before? That's really cool! I love shetland ponies, they have such big personality's! I've only ridden normal sized horses :-).
I have trotted a couple times when I took riding lessons. I had to stop for a while, but I will be starting riding again in spring, and I'm really excited! -Savannah

    7. Yes! Aunt Missy gave him to Hannah and I for my eighth birthday! His name is Spike. I got too big to ride him though. :-( It was the first time I had gotten to ride a full-size horse!
Do you take lessons at Lamplight Stables? Where is that?

    8. Wait. Hold on. You and Hannah have a pony?! You are SO lucky! What color was he? It's to bad that you're to big to ride on him :-(!
Yes, I do take lessons at Lamplight Stables. It's ... well, I'm TERRIBLE at directions (Josh is much better then I am. And he's six.), so I'm not exactly sure. About half an hour from our house ... maybe? I don't really know, you'd need to ask my mom :-). -Savannah

    9. Well, he's not ours anymore 'cause we can't ride him. He is all white, but he desperately needs a bath. :-) I still like to think he's mine. :-) He's probably as tall as my chest. He's pretty short. :-)
That's fine! I'm not good with directions either. I barely know my right and left! :-)

    10. He sounds really cute! There's a white horse at Lamplight names Cream, and he ALWAYS looks like he needs a bath :-).
Do you have a favorite horse at your Aunt and Uncle's ranch (Or one that you normally ride when you're there)? -Savannah

    11. I've only ridden Spike and Booker (the barn manager's horse) so I don't really have a favorite there, but for looks, definitely Leo (the Fresian). They are just so pretty!

    12. It's really neat that your Aunt and Uncle have a Fresian! I would love to see one in real-life sometime, they're beautiful!
I've only ridden three horses at Lamplight so far. Smoky, who is really old and super sweet, Cowboy, who is younger and really fun to ride, and Thunder, who is pretty stubborn and is kinda hard to ride. But I love him anyways :-). So I don't really have a favorite either :-).
Have you ever cantered before? I haven't, since I've only been to five or six lessons. But I can't wait until I can! -Savannah

    13. Leo is somebody else's horse but they pay Aunt Missy to ride and train him.
Yes, I've cantered on Spike, but that was a long time ago! It was super fun, but the next day, I could barely move. :-) I was pretty sore. :-) It was still awesome!

  2. Wow, Ellen! You outdid yourself. This is a wonderful pictorial collection of family, friends, and beautiful creatures that chronicles a busy and blessed year. You have really captured the atmosphere and feeling of activities, trips, parties and exciting and educational occasions. You should make a book of it, like a diary of 2015. Then, each year you could make another volume. Thanks for all your hard work. Love, Grandma and Grandpa.
